We are excited to announce that Mr. Larry Friend has joined the Dover Middle School Campus as an Associate Principal, effective Monday, July 28th.
Mr. Friend brings over two decades of educational leadership experience to our team, having served as Principal at Fred Fifer III Middle School and Assistant Principal at Caesar Rodney High School and Stanton Middle School. His career began in Baltimore, where he made significant contributions to arts education and school improvement initiatives.
With a Master's degree in School Improvement Leadership from Goucher College and a Bachelor's in Music Education from West Chester University, Mr. Friend combines exceptional instructional leadership with a passion for the arts. He's committed to creating an environment where creativity, innovation, and high expectations drive student success.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Friend actively supports arts education through his service on the Friends of the Schwartz board and has shared his expertise as a guest speaker at Yale University's National Music Symposium.
We're excited about the positive impact he'll bring to our Dover Middle School Campus community.
