Capital School District Announces Dr. Krista Seifert as Principal of 
Fairview Early Childhood Center


The Capital School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Krista Seifert as Principal of the Fairview Early Childhood Center, effective with the 2025-2026 school year. Dr. Seifert will provide leadership and support to students and staff as Fairview transitions from an elementary school to an early childhood center.


Dr. Seifert brings exceptional qualifications to this role as a National Board-Certified Educator with 25 years of dedicated service within the Capital School District. Throughout her distinguished career, she has served in numerous impactful positions, including instructional coach, general education teacher, library media specialist, and teacher of gifted students. This diverse experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of instructional best practices across grade levels and student populations.

"Her extensive experience, proven leadership abilities, and dedication to early childhood education make her the ideal choice to guide our students, families, and staff through this important transformation."


As a Leader in Me Coach, Dr. Seifert has successfully led schoolwide implementation efforts focused on empowering students and staff, cultivating leadership at all levels, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. She is recognized for her ability to build inclusive, student-centered school communities and her expertise in using data to drive instruction and student success.


Dr. Seifert is a respected leader in professional learning, having designed and facilitated high-impact professional development at both the school and district levels. She has led Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on instructional growth and student outcomes, and has played a central role in advancing educator capacity through workshops, training sessions, and strategic coaching. As a building Lead Induction Coach, she has mentored new teachers, coordinated the mentoring program, and provided guidance and support to ensure a strong start for educators entering the profession.


Dr. Seifert holds multiple state certifications and earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University, where she concentrated her research on instructional leadership and organizational development. As the new Principal of Fairview Early Childhood Center, she brings a deep passion for early learning and a steadfast commitment to excellence, equity, and the development of high-quality, nurturing environments for all young learners.
